Day two

This is the report of the most important day these days – my video shoot in London. So, the even more important thing about that is that I finally met my manager, live, in person, face to face :-) What a feeling! So cool, just as if we knew each other for years…

So, we met each other around lunch time and first went to Round pound at Kensington gardens where we discussed the procedure of the video and had some first shots. I did the make-up already at the hotel, so I just had to concentrate on the playback and where to look and not to move and, and, and… :-)

Later, when we had a clear idea of how it should look like, we went to Tate museum to have some lunch. Paul said that there would be some nice backgrounds for the video and so we went to search one after eating fish and chips, how it should be in London. :-) Just at the moment walked around, there was a huge group of people coming out of a building – it was a evacuation test. But for me it seemed as if I was already that popular so everyone wants to see my shooting ;-)

So, we found a perfect place to do the shooting and so we installed ourselfs and the camera there. First shoot: it went quite good until in the middle of the song, a fly thought that it’s gonna install itself on my nose… cut! Second shoot: it went perfect, until in the middle of the song, the sun came out and so the light totally changed – cut! Third shoot: it went perfect until the end of the song – done! :-) yippie! You’ll see the result soon, I promise!

Then, in the evening, another musical – this time Grease. And I had to admit, although I normally don’t like musicals – it was great! Good singers, good dancers, nice band, nice dresses… I really loved it. I can only recommend you go and see it, if you are in London :-)

Day one

It was a loooong day. I got up at 5.15 to catch the first plane from Zurich to London. So I was there quite early. First, trying to find the hotel, checking in, leaving the baggage there and go for a discovery walk. First Kensington gardens and Hyde park. Then Picadilly circus and Oxford street. Although it was Sunday, most of the shops were open! I’m not used to that. But it was cool. :-)

And then, the highlight in the evening: Stomp. I would have never thought it: it was so much fun! It’s a combination of dancing and percussion with different objects of every day life. I think, my drummer would have loved it! :-)

Three days of adventure

Finally! I tried to write this blog now since about a week but I had to deal with some problems. Now, it obviously works again. :-) There is something very important I need to tell you. I have been to London, I have met my manager aaaaand, we have shot a video! Finally! :-) It has been a very musical trip, three days of big program and I will tell you more about it in the next three blogs…

the show must go on…

There’s quite a lot going on right now: I’m writing new songs, having many ideas for my recorded song, just gave this one to my drummer, who will try to put his ideas in as well, still trying to make this videoshoot come true and of course always working on my voice.

It’s a continuing work, such as life itself – everytime you think you made it, you have to learn that there’s much more to come and to do! It’s somehow a never ending story…

when thoughts turn into something you can hold in your hands…

I can’t describe this feeling. This feeling of holding the record of the first draft version of my first own song in my hands. Great! It turned out even better than I expected, although I have so many things I want to change now – but it’s wonderful to work like that, it helps me define my music and myself.

I’m full of power now, although I couldn’t do the video shooting while staying in Barcelona – my manager had to leave a day earlier and so we couldn’t make it together. But I will be soon going to London and I hope, it will work out there. At least, I will be better prepared as I’m not that stressed anymore and I have many ideas how it should turn out and what to wear and how to make-up and all sorts of things. So I just pray that he will be there as well and that mobility will not get us apart this time.
